Day 58 - Getting Kicked on Route 66

We certainly didn't get our kicks on Route 66...the billowing smoke...the tow truck...the write off of the Jeep (the cost to replace the transmission was more than the value).

After a day in the beautiful confines of the Flagstaff Jeep dealer, we all waved good-bye to the Jeep.  It will spend its final days at the Flagstaff Vehicle Wrecker.  Off we went without the Jeep (the inside of the Beast now overflowing with the chariot and the stroller), passed the big oil slick we put on Route 66 the day before, and headed towards Sante Fe.

Moral of the story, don't lend us your car, we may not return it.  Sorry PJ.

Oh no! That's going to put a bit of a crimp on things...and this is far worse than when Bry borrowed my favorite skirt and ripped it...huh. Sisters. What can you do?

Will you be looking for another car?

Hi guys,

Sorry to hear about the Jeep - I had a personal connection - if you remember - you lent it to me a few years back and it was a fun little ride.

Hey I like the photo of Jack and John by the Grand Canyon - Jack looks exactly like a mini me version of John.

Stay safe,
xP.

Sorry about your Jeep...tranny problems in a Chrysler...who'd of thunk it? There wasn't another vehicle there to buy? I would think with the credit crunch there would be easy pickings! Have to move the lawn chairs to the roof of the Clampett-mobile!

Hi Guys - Finally checked my e-mail and found your blog! Did read Jim's print out for Mom at lake last weekend though. Sorry I missed your visit, John - was sick (much like Jack Jack). So sorry to hear about jeep misadventure. Oh well. Hopefully all your bad trip Karma's been used up now and it'll be clear sailing from here on. Give Jack hugs from us! Yabba Dabba Doo.
